Reports emerging from Gaza confirm that five Palestinians lost their lives and numerous others sustained injuries as Israeli airstrikes targeted the city of Rafah.

Since the commencement of Israel’s military campaign on October 7, 2023, in response to an operation by the Hamas Resistance group, the besieged Gaza Strip has endured severe hardship. The Israeli blockade has severely restricted essential supplies, including fuel, electricity, food, and water, impacting over two million Palestinians residing in the territory.

The latest casualties add to the grim toll of the conflict, with over 34,000 Palestinians, including more than 14,000 children and 9,000 women, having lost their lives since the onset of the Israeli offensive. Furthermore, several thousand individuals remain unaccounted for, feared trapped beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings.

The ongoing violence underscores the urgent need for international intervention to address the humanitarian crisis and seek a lasting resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
