On Sunday, Israeli settlers unleashed destruction as they set fire to tens of dunums of Palestinian agricultural land in the village of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, located south of Nablus in the West Bank.

Yaqoub Aweys, the esteemed head of the East Al-Lubban Council, reported that numerous settlers deliberately ignited fires that ravaged vast hectares of cultivated fields, decimating crops and dozens of precious olive trees.

However, swift action by local residents, aided by the civil defense, effectively managed to contain the blaze and prevent further devastation.

Aweys urgently implored international organizations and human rights institutions to intervene and put an immediate halt to the recurring assaults perpetrated by settlers, which continually target the village and inflict significant harm upon Palestinian properties and fertile agricultural lands.
