Israeli Attacks Cause Widespread Destruction in Gaza

The Palestinian news agency “Wafa” reported that several citizens were killed and injured early Sunday in Israeli air and artillery strikes concentrated on the cities of Gaza and Rafah.

An Israeli airstrike targeted a house in the Shawwa Square area of the Daraj neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, while another strike hit a house in the old town.

Artillery shelling near the University College in the Sabra neighborhood in the south of the city resulted in more casualties.Israeli airstrikes also hit the Brazil neighborhood in southern Rafah, causing injuries to residents and destroying several homes.

The air force targeted multiple homes in the Tabasiya neighborhood of Rafah.Israeli army vehicles fired heavily north of the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip this morning.

Earlier, Israeli artillery shelling hit the Zaytoun neighborhood, the towns of Mughraqa and Zahra north of the Nuseirat refugee camp, and the northern part of the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Medical sources announced on Saturday that the death toll in Gaza had risen to 36,379 people, most of them women and children, since the war began on October 7th.
