In a humanitarian gesture amid the ongoing conflict, Iraq has received approximately 50 injured Lebanese citizens by air, who were immediately transported to hospitals in the city of Karbala for medical treatment, according to sources at the Al-Hussainiya Threshold.
The injured have been distributed among the Al-Hussainiya Threshold hospitals in Karbala, where they are receiving medical care.
Accommodations such as the Visitor’s City and several hotels have been prepared to host the families and companions of the injured, providing them with all necessary comforts.
Further expanding its support, the Al-Hussainiya Threshold has dispatched a team of Iraqi doctors and surgeons and established an advanced hospital inside Lebanon.
This facility is equipped with the latest medical devices and treatment technologies, along with substantial quantities of medicines to treat the injured and provide medical services.
Additionally, Iraq has sent five planes loaded with various humanitarian, medical, and logistical aid to support the Lebanese people.
The high Shiite clerical offices in the provinces of Karbala and Najaf have announced the opening of all their hotels, guest houses, and visitor cities to accommodate displaced Lebanese families.
Crisis teams have been formed to aid them, along with the setup of field hospitals and the preparation of large convoys carrying different humanitarian and logistical aids to Lebanon.
Iraqi cities are witnessing one of the largest campaigns to welcome blood donors and contributors, featuring announcements encouraging donations to aid the Lebanese people who are currently enduring Israeli aggression.
Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani has announced the establishment of an air and land bridge to facilitate the delivery of aid and fuel to Lebanon.
Al-Sudani declared, “Our doors are open to receive the wounded and injured in Iraqi hospitals,” affirming the country’s proactive stance in addressing the crisis.
The PM also called for an urgent meeting of Arab state leaders currently in New York, urging them to convene an Islamic summit to discuss the repercussions of Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
