Lebanese Hezbollah announced its missile attack on the headquarters of the Golan Division 210 at Nafeh barracks and the artillery battalion and armored brigade at Yarden barracks.

Hezbollah stated in a release today, Tuesday: “In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and backing their honorable resistance, and in response to the Israeli enemy’s attack that targeted the Beqaa region, the Islamic Resistance fighters on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, launched intense missile barrages targeting the headquarters of the Golan Division 210 at Nafeh barracks and the headquarters of the artillery battalion and armored brigade belonging to Division 210 at Yarden barracks.”

Our correspondent reported that missile barrages were launched from southern Lebanon towards Upper Galilee and the occupied Golan today, Tuesday.

He mentioned that Israeli artillery targeted the outskirts of the towns of Talouse and Kafr Shuba in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army issued a statement today, Tuesday, saying: “After hearing the warning sirens earlier in the regions of Upper Galilee and the Golan, about 55 shells were detected launched from Lebanese territory. Some of the projectiles were intercepted while the rest landed in open areas, with no injuries reported.”

It added: “Israeli firefighting and rescue teams are currently working to extinguish fires that broke out in several areas in northern Israel due to the falling shells.”

The statement concluded: “Shortly after the shelling, the Israeli Air Force struck one of the platforms from which the shells were launched.”

On Monday evening, the Israeli army stated that it had bombed several Hezbollah weapon storage facilities in the Beqaa region of eastern Lebanon.

The Israeli army added in its statement that an aircraft from its air force eliminated a Hezbollah member named Hussein Ali Hussein in the area of Deir Qanoun in southern Lebanon, noting that Hussein was a prominent member of Hezbollah’s missile and artillery unit in the Yarin region.

Since the launch of Hamas’ “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation on October 7 and the subsequent devastating war on the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah has continued its operations against Israel, stating that these military actions are “in support of Gaza,” and to create a “supporting front” against the Israeli army, noting that their cessation “depends on the cessation of aggression on the sector.”
