Saudi Aramco, a leading company in the energy and chemicals sector, has announced the commencement of the construction of “Aramco Stadium” with a seating capacity of approximately 47,000. The stadium, expected to be completed by 2026, will be located in the city of Khobar and will serve as the main venue for the Al-Qadisiyah club, owned by Saudi Aramco.
The stadium will also be one of the main venues for the Asian Cup, which the Kingdom will host in 2027.
Inspired by the design of a water vortex commonly seen on the coast of Khobar, the stadium is expected to be the primary location for hosting major sporting and entertainment events in the region.
The facility will include amenities that consider the needs of the community and individuals with disabilities.
This project is part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to bolster its status as the host of the 2027 Asian Football Cup and the World Cup in 2034.
