The Israeli military announced that about 40 shells were fired towards the Galilee and the Golan Heights, many of which were intercepted. The attack resulted in fires in the area, and the air defense system successfully intercepted 3 out of 5 suspicious aerial targets.
Israeli media revealed on Thursday that Hezbollah launched around 150 rockets and drones in a concentrated bombardment of northern Israel. The continuous firing by Hezbollah towards the Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights began at two o’clock in the afternoon, involving rocket launches and attempts to infiltrate with hostile aircraft.
The assault lasted about 40 minutes, with data indicating that dozens of rockets were launched almost simultaneously, likely targeting multiple military bases across Israel. The Israel Hayom website reported that Hezbollah launched approximately 150 rockets and drones towards Israel.
Simultaneously with the attack, alarm sirens were activated in several northern towns including Bar’am, Avivim, and Yir’on in the Upper Galilee due to fears of hostile aircraft infiltrations. Residents reported numerous interceptions in the sky and reports of rockets falling.
The Magen David Adom reported that two young men, approximately 20 years old, were injured by shrapnel, describing their conditions as minor. The municipality of Safed announced that “following the sequence of alarms, studies in the education system have ended, as well as activities at the municipal market.”
