The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, “Hamas”, affirmed that today’s meeting of the general secretaries of the Palestinian factions in Egypt should be an opportunity to reach a unified national position.
News reports mentioned on Sunday that “Hamas seizes every opportunity for dialogue with all Palestinian parties to formulate a unified national position, and has always been mobilizing to reach a national unity for the sake of the Palestinian cause.”
He added, “The central objective of Hamas is to be capable as Palestinians to draft a single plan to confront the crimes and violations of the occupation,” noting that Hamas believes there is a real opportunity for the success of the meeting of the general secretaries.
Qasem pointed out that “Hamas will make every effort to make it a success and to formulate a comprehensive national plan to confront the Zionist occupation,” confirming that “unified action is a national and political necessity to confront the occupation.”
Qasem called on the Palestinian Authority to release all political detainees, stating “political detention is a national sin and a moral crime.”
