Ghanaian football player Raphael Dwamena, who played for the national team, tragically passed away at 28. He collapsed during a match, leading to his untimely demise. The Ghana Football Association expressed their deep sorrow, acknowledging Dwamena’s dedicated service to Ghana’s football.

A video, circulating on social media, captured Dwamena’s collapse during a match in the Albanian First Division between Egnatia and Partizani. Medical teams rushed to his aid on the field, but unfortunately, he did not survive.

In October 2021, Dwamena had a similar collapse while playing for Blau-Weiß Linz against Hartberg in the Austrian Cup. He had recovered and returned to playing, which makes his recent passing even more shocking.

Dwamena’s career included stints in Spain, Switzerland, Austria, and Denmark. His former team, Levante of Spain, expressed their grief over his passing, extending condolences to his loved ones.

Dwamena will be remembered for his commitment and passion for football. His death is a solemn reminder of the fragility of life and the risks athletes face. The football community mourns a talent gone too soon.
