On Tuesday, the German magazine “Der Spiegel” reported that the German government is considering supplying artillery shells to Israel to support its fight against the Hamas movement.
According to the report, the relevant administrations have already given their preliminary approval to meet the request of the Israeli government.
In November, Berlin received a request to supply the Israeli army with approximately ten thousand precision-guided artillery shells with a caliber of 120 millimeters.
The report also mentioned that since the arms manufacturing sector cannot immediately deliver the requested precision-guided ammunition, authorities are considering the option of initially sending ammunition from the stocks of the German army to expedite the response to the request.
