A U.S. military facility located at the al-Omar oil field in Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria, came under rocket attack, as reported by Al Mayadeen sources.
The sources indicated that this assault was accompanied by a series of intense explosions within the American base.
Earlier that day, MEHR, citing Arab media, reported that two U.S. military bases in Syria and Iraq, occupied by U.S. forces, were targeted in attacks.
The Ain al-Assad base in Iraq was hit, and a resistance group in Iraq quickly took responsibility, stating that they executed the attack using two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
Simultaneously, local sources in Syria reported missile strikes on U.S. bases situated in the Conoco and al-Omar gas fields.
A U.S. military official acknowledged that a total of four bases housing U.S. troops in the Middle East were attacked on the same day, according to NBC News. The official stated that the rocket fire did not result in any casualties or damage to infrastructure.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq came forward to claim responsibility for one of these attacks, specifying that their target was the U.S. and coalition occupation forces stationed at the Ain al-Assad airbase in Iraq.
The senior military official disclosed that three additional bases in the region were also subjected to attacks. The Pentagon has yet to provide a response or further details in relation to these incidents.
