Blasts were reported near the Syrian capital, Damascus, on Sunday, according to state news agency SANA, which stated that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the explosions.

Damascus, Syria’s capital, has experienced numerous airstrikes over the years due to the ongoing civil conflict and military actions by various international actors.

The region often sees military operations targeting terrorist groups like ISIS and Al Qaeda affiliates, as well as clashes between US-led coalition forces and Iranian-backed militias.
