For the first time, the European Union has imposed restrictions on six individuals, Israeli settlers and settler organizations, for violating the rights of Palestinians in the West Bank, according to a decision by the EU Council published in the official EU Gazette.
The document indicates that “following Hamas attacks, settler violence against Palestinian residents significantly increased.
In this context, the European Union decided to impose restrictions on six individuals involved, including four settlers and two organizations.”
Sanctions were specifically imposed on the “Hill Youth” organization, known for its attacks on Palestinian residents in the occupied territories.
The sanctions were implemented as part of the EU’s mechanism for sanctions on human rights violations
