Intense clashes and artillery exchanges broke out between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the Al-Shajara area near the Armored Corps in southern Khartoum.
Osman Al-Jundi, a correspondent for “Cairo News,” reported that the RSF launched several attacks on the vicinity of the Armored Corps in southern Khartoum, but the Sudanese army managed to repel the assaults.
Al-Jundi added that the army’s artillery targeted RSF movements and positions in the Um Badda area west of Omdurman, expanding ground operations and gaining control over several areas in the region.
Loud explosions were heard in the eastern and southern parts of Khartoum due to the artillery exchanges between the Sudanese army and the RSF.
The “Cairo News” correspondent also noted that the Sudanese army used heavy artillery to strike RSF positions in the Jabra and Al-Sahafa neighborhoods in southern Khartoum.
In related news, Sudanese media reported that RSF militias committed a massacre in the village of Wad Al-Asha in Al-Jazeera state, central Sudan, resulting in multiple casualties. The attack was allegedly carried out for theft and looting purposes.
