European Union (EU) Ambassador to Libya, Jose Sabadell, held a discussion with Khaled Al-Mishri, former chairman of the High Council of State (HCS), on the future trajectory of the political process in Libya.

The conversation emphasized the importance of reaching a consensus among key stakeholders in a manner that benefits all Libyans.

Ambassador Sabadell praised the smooth transfer of authority between al-Mishri and the new president of the State Council, Mohammed Takala, portraying it as an exemplar for Libyan institutions.

He expressed this sentiment through a series of tweets from his account on the “X” platform on Sunday.

“We celebrated the seamless peaceful transition of power to his successor, President Mohammed Takala, which stands as a model for Libyan institutions,” Sabadell stated.
