On Saturday, reports emerged of Israeli settlers assaulting Palestinian agricultural lands in the south of Nablus in the West Bank, further escalating tensions in the region.
According to Wafa news agency, a group of settlers set fire to the lands located south of Burin town. The blaze consumed a significant number of trees. Disturbingly, the settlers were reportedly under the protection of occupation forces when they attacked Palestinians attempting to control the fires.
Furthermore, settlers were reported to have attacked farmers in the town of Taqu, east of Bethlehem, as part of an insidious plan to forcefully evict Palestinians from their lands and expand settlements in the area.
In occupied Jerusalem, occupation forces reportedly stormed the town of Al-Ram, firing bullets and releasing toxic gas canisters at Palestinians. They also conducted house raids in Al-Ja’bari neighborhood in the southern part of Hebron city, searching and disrupting the contents within.
Moreover, settlers were said to have invaded the Arab Al-Malihat area, west of Jericho city, assaulting Palestinians present.
This spate of attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinian agricultural lands underscores the escalating tension and hostility in the region.
