Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasised on Thursday that the war in Gaza has not concluded despite the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. In a video message, he acknowledged the difficulties of the ongoing conflict, stating, “The war… is not over yet. And it is difficult, and it exacts heavy prices from us.”

Netanyahu also addressed the people of Gaza, urging them to surrender and release hostages, promising, “Whoever lays down his weapon and returns our hostages—we will allow him to go on living.”

He further stated, “Hamas will no longer rule Gaza,” describing the situation as “the beginning of the day after Hamas” and encouraging Gaza’s residents to seize the opportunity to “break free from its tyranny.”
