King Abdullah II of Jordan has emphasized the urgent need for the international community to take responsibility for stopping the Israeli military operations in Gaza and Lebanon.

His remarks came during discussions in Amman with King Felipe VI of Spain.

The Jordanian monarch highlighted the importance of achieving a comprehensive ceasefire to end the violence and safeguard the security and stability of both the region and the world.

This statement aligns with growing calls from various leaders and organizations for an end to the ongoing conflict.

According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, King Abdullah commended Spain’s courageous stance in supporting stability efforts in the region and its proactive role in addressing regional challenges.

He also underscored the necessity of doubling humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza and ensuring that such assistance reaches those in need.

Furthermore, the Jordanian king praised Spain’s support for peace based on the two-state solution and its recognition of the State of Palestine.

He reaffirmed Jordan’s commitment to coordinating with Spain and the European Union to restore stability in the region.
