The Central African Republic (CAR) is set to sign agreements with Russia regarding military supplies and military education, as announced by CAR’s Defense Minister, Ramo Claude Piro.

This development comes as part of the Army 2024 Forum, which is being held from August 12 to 14, 2024, at the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Center.

Minister Piro stated that the agreements will focus on the procurement of military products and military training, reflecting a strong interest in Russian technological advancements in these fields.

He emphasized that Russian technological developments are prioritized, with military research progressing faster than civilian research.

The Army 2024 Forum is a major international military-technical exhibition organized by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The event showcases a range of military equipment and weaponry, including new and advanced technologies in aviation, drones, naval systems, space, artillery, and protective measures.

Additionally, the forum will feature equipment seized from foreign armies, such as American-made Abrams tanks, German-made Leopard tanks, and Bradley armored vehicles.
