Iraq’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, and the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq, Tariq Abdullah Al-Faraj, discussed preparations for the upcoming Baghdad Cooperation and Partnership conference scheduled for the end of this year, in a meeting on Monday.
A statement by the ministry revealed that “the Minister of Foreign Affairs received the Ambassador of Kuwait to Iraq, and during the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance and develop bilateral relations.”
The statement added that “both sides also talked about the upcoming visit of the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister to Iraq and reviewed the outcomes of the recent technical meetings of the joint Iraqi-Kuwaiti committee, which recently held its meetings to discuss the memorandum of understanding related to the joint oil fields between the two countries.”
The discussion also touched upon the preparations for the third iteration of the Baghdad Cooperation and Partnership conference for neighboring and regional countries, set to take place in Baghdad before the end of this year. They highlighted the importance of continuing to hold such conferences and joint meetings to contribute to achieving stability.
