In the early hours of Wednesday, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance announced an attack on a vital target in Eilat, located in southern Israel, using drones. The group emphasized the continuation of their operations against enemy strongholds with increasing intensity.
In a statement, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance declared, “In continuation of our resistance against the occupation and in support of our people in Palestine, and in response to the massacres committed by the occupying entity against civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance attacked a vital target in northern Um Al-Rashrash (Eilat) on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, using drones.”
The statement further affirmed, “The Islamic Resistance confirms the continuation of operations to strike at enemy strongholds with increasing frequency.”
On the previous Sunday, the Iraqi Islamic Resistance had also claimed to have targeted a vital location in Eilat with drones, reiterating their commitment to escalating their operations.
Iraqi resistance factions intermittently claim responsibility for attacks on areas in Israel and American bases in Syria and Iraq, as a response to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
With the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement (Houthis) moving to the “fifth phase” of escalation with Israel by targeting Tel Aviv with a drone that resulted in casualties, followed by Israeli strikes on Yemen’s Al-Hudaydah province causing deaths and injuries, the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades reaffirmed their support and readiness to stand united in all confrontations against the enemy.
