Two Palestinians, including the Director of Ambulance and Emergency Services in Gaza, were killed in an Israeli airstrike, the Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported on Monday.
According to medical sources, the airstrike occurred at midnight, targeting the Al-Daraj Clinic in central Gaza City.
The attack resulted in the deaths of two individuals, one of whom was Hani Al-Ja’frawi, the Director of Ambulance and Emergency Services in Gaza. Several others were injured with varying degrees of severity.
The agency also reported a severe airstrike by Israeli forces on the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.
In Khan Yunis, Israeli forces fired upon Palestinian civilians, and residential buildings in the Al-Saudi neighborhood west of Rafah were demolished.
Palestinian witnesses reported that eight Palestinians were killed on Sunday in an Israeli airstrike on a training facility near Gaza City, which was also used for distributing aid.
Concurrently, Israeli tanks continued their incursion into Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
More than eight months into the conflict, Israeli forces are focusing their advance on two remaining areas not yet under their control: Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip and the region surrounding Deir Al-Balah in the center.
The Israeli ground and air campaign in Gaza began on October 7, following an incursion by Hamas-led militants into southern Israel.
According to Israeli statistics, the incursion resulted in approximately 1,200 deaths and the capture of more than 250 hostages.
Health officials in Gaza report that the subsequent and ongoing Israeli offensive has resulted in over 37,600 Palestinian deaths and has devastated much of the Gaza Strip.
