The Gaza Health Ministry reported on Monday, marking the 150th day of aggression, that at least 30,534 Palestinians have been killed and 71,920 injured due to Israeli aggression in the region since October 7th.
The daily statistical report on the casualties due to the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza highlighted that the Israeli occupation committed 13 massacres against families in Gaza, resulting in 124 deaths and 210 injuries in the last 24 hours.
Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, the spokesperson for the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza, stated that in 150 days of continuous Israeli aggression, Israeli forces killed 364 health workers and arrested 269 others, including hospital directors in Khan Younis and North Gaza.
He added that Israeli forces destroyed 155 healthcare facilities, took 32 hospitals and 53 health centers out of service, and targeted 126 ambulances.
Al-Qudra noted the catastrophic health situation, worsening due to the lack of necessary medical aid, contributing to the spread of infectious diseases and epidemics, with about one million cases recorded and a severe shortage of medical resources.
He mentioned that residents of North Gaza are fighting for survival due to famine exceeding global levels, caused by the scarcity of drinking water and food, resulting in the death of dozens of children, women, and the elderly.
The United Nations has been urged to activate international humanitarian law to protect civilians, healthcare institutions, and staff, and provide means of survival for Gaza’s residents to prevent a humanitarian disaster.
A report from Al-Ghad correspondent highlighted the death of a child, Yazan Al-Kafarna, in Rafah’s Abu Youssef Al-Najjar Hospital due to malnutrition, exemplifying the dire conditions faced by Gaza’s children due to starvation policies practiced by the Israeli occupation.
U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris commented on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, stating that the residents are suffering from a catastrophic situation, with many innocent Palestinians killed.
In a speech during her visit to Alabama, she criticized the Israeli government’s response to civilians seeking aid in Gaza, meeting them with gunfire and chaos.
Harris emphasized the immediate need for a ceasefire and an end to the threat posed by Hamas, calling on the Israeli government to restore essential services and order in Gaza.
She highlighted that a 6-week ceasefire agreement would allow for the release of detainees and the entry of significant aid into Gaza, urging Hamas to agree to the proposed deal.
