In a stark denunciation of U.S. military actions, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla criticized the American airstrikes on Syria and Iraq as blatant violations of sovereignty, warning of escalating tensions and the risk of regional conflict.

“Cuba vehemently condemns the U.S. aggression against Syria and Iraq, which starkly breaches the sovereignty of these nations. Such irresponsible actions contravene international law, exacerbate violence, and heighten the likelihood of a regional conflict,” Rodríguez Parrilla stated.

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it conducted aerial strikes targeting the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and its affiliated groups in Iraq and Syria.

According to RT correspondents, the bombardment targeted sites in the countryside of Mayadin and Al-Bukamal in Eastern Syria and facilities of Iraqi factions in the Al-Qaim area, west of Iraq.

The American strikes resulted in civilian and military casualties, inflicting significant damage on both public and private properties.

This strong condemnation from Cuba comes amid growing concerns about the potential for further escalation in the region, underscoring the international community’s apprehension over unilateral military interventions and their implications for global peace and security.
