The United States has reiterated the urgency of addressing the humanitarian needs in Gaza to prevent the escalation of conflict. This was stated in a press release published on the website of the U.S. State Department on Thursday, following a phone call between U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

During the call, Blinken welcomed an agreement that would lead to the release of at least 50 hostages held in Gaza, emphasizing that the United States remains committed to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
According to the statement, Blinken and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed the importance of ending the conflict in Sudan and preventing further widespread harm to civilians.

The ministers affirmed their joint commitment to building a more secure and prosperous region and the importance of the strategic partnership between the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
