US President Joe Biden emphasized the importance of crafting a more integrated Middle East during his address at the United Nations General Assembly. He assured that the United States remains steadfast in upholding democratic and constitutional values in Africa, and underscored efforts to bolster food security on the continent.

“We aspire to a safer world,” Biden declared, firmly asserting that “conflicts cannot be resolved through force.”

Biden also highlighted his administration’s commitment to stand in solidarity with Ukraine, defending its sovereignty. He emphasized that only Russia holds the power to conclude the war, yet it seems to hinder the path to peace.

Furthermore, Biden stressed, “No nation can single-handedly confront the current challenges.”

The American leader also mentioned collaborative efforts with India and Australia to ensure international maritime security. He added that Washington is working diligently to make artificial intelligence policies safe for utilization.

In a nod to global diplomatic collaboration, Biden affirmed the US’s support for the expansion of the UN Security Council, advocating for an increase in the number of permanent members.

The Middle East has historically been a focal point of US foreign policy due to its geopolitical significance, energy resources, and longstanding conflicts. President Biden’s call for a more cohesive Middle East signifies the United States’ ongoing commitment to fostering stability and peace in the region. Furthermore, the emphasis on global collaboration highlights the current administration’s belief in multilateralism as a tool for addressing international challenges. This comes at a time when the world grapples with complex challenges ranging from cybersecurity threats to maritime tensions in key trade routes. Biden’s stance at the UN General Assembly is indicative of the US’s vision to lead through partnerships and shared values.
