Three people have were killed in separate shooting incidents in Sweden as a surge in deadly violence linked to criminal gang disputes continues.
A young man, 18 years old, was fatally shot late yesterday in one of Stockholm’s suburbs. In another incident, a man was killed, and another wounded in a shooting in the town of Jordbro, south of the Swedish capital, according to the German news agency “DPA.”
Today, a woman in her twenties died in an explosion that occurred in Uppsala County, west of Stockholm.
The police are treating the explosion, which damaged five houses, as a murder.
Swedish Radio reported that these two shooting incidents bring the death toll due to armed violence in September to 11, making it the deadliest month since the police began keeping statistics in 2016.
