World Central Kitchen, a humanitarian organization, has called for an independent investigation into the Israeli airstrike that resulted in the deaths of 7 of its staff members in central Gaza earlier this week, as reported by the Arab World News Agency.
In a statement released today (Thursday), the organization urged the governments of Australia, Canada, the United States, Poland, and Britain to join its demand for an independent third-party inquiry into the Israeli assault.
The organization revealed that the Israeli attack on its convoy, which occurred late last Monday, involved multiple strikes targeting 3 civilian vehicles.
“We advocate for an independent inquiry into the circumstances of the Israeli airstrike that claimed the lives of 7 of our staff in Gaza,” the statement asserted.
Additionally, it called upon Israel to preserve all relevant documents, communications, and recordings about the convoy attack in Gaza to ensure the integrity of the investigation.
The organization emphasized that an independent investigation is essential for uncovering the truth behind the Gaza attack and ensuring transparency and accountability for those responsible.
