The United States has approved the sale of around 13,981 120mm tank rounds to the Israeli occupation in an emergency deal worth $106.5 million, as announced by the US Department of State in a communication sent to Congress.

This deal comes amidst escalating political tensions surrounding the situation in Gaza, with the American decision being made under political pressure.

Republicans have been opposed to President Joe Biden’s administration’s request for new military assistance to Tel Aviv and Kyiv.

Meanwhile, Democrats remain divided over the use of American weapons in light of the ongoing events and their impact on Palestinian civilians.

The US State Department has affirmed that there is an emergency situation justifying the immediate sale of these weapons to the occupation government, bypassing the usual congressional review procedures.

The department further emphasized that the agreed-upon weapons will be drawn from the US military’s inventory.

On another note, some Republican members of the Senate obstructed the approval of an emergency aid package worth $106 billion for Ukraine and the occupation entity due to the absence of immigration reforms in the package.

The Israeli occupation continues its offensive against Gaza for the 65th day, conducting intense airstrikes on multiple areas within the enclave.

This has resulted in the destruction of homes and buildings, the targeting of hospitals, and extensive damage to roads and infrastructure.

In response to Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territories, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, launched the “Operation Aqsa Storm” on October 7th.

Conversely, the Israeli occupation initiated a military operation against Gaza, codenamed “Iron Swords,” carrying out a series of heavy airstrikes in various areas of the strip.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported an increase in the number of martyrs to more than 17 since the beginning of the war, including 7,739 children and 4,885 women. The number of injured individuals exceeded 46,000.

On the other hand, the Israeli occupation claimed the deaths of approximately 1,200 settlers and soldiers, while the Israeli military acknowledged the killing of 425 officers and soldiers since October 7th.
