Matthew Miller, spokesperson for the US State Department, has announced that the United States intends to send new shipments of weapons and military equipment to Ukraine in the coming weeks.
During a press conference, Miller stated that further announcements regarding weapon supplies will be made in the coming weeks.
Miller did not specify the type of new weapon shipments to the authorities Washington plans to send to Kyiv.
Earlier, White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan affirmed that American aid would not alter the situation in Ukraine in the near future.
He stated that the Russian army would continue to succeed on the front and make progress in Ukraine in the near future.
The US has been providing military assistance to Ukraine to support its defense capabilities against Russian aggression since the annexation of Crimea in 2014.
The ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine, fueled by Russian-backed separatists, has prompted Western nations, including the US, to bolster Ukraine’s military capabilities through arms shipments and training programs.
