The UK Ministry of Defence announced on Wednesday that London and its allies have completed the training of nearly 40,000 Ukrainian troops as part of the multinational exercises “Interflex.”
The ministry stated in an official statement on the “X” platform that British forces and their allies trained over 38,000 Ukrainian soldiers.
Furthermore, more than 34,000 individuals have completed the infantry training program, with an additional 4,000 completing specialized training courses for doctors, explosive experts, and marines.
The initiative to recruit new volunteers into the Ukrainian armed forces was launched by the United Kingdom and nine partner countries, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Lithuania, and the Netherlands in June of the previous year.
The Russian military continues its special operation aimed at disarming Ukraine, eliminating threats posed to Russia’s security, and protecting civilians in Donbas who have suffered persecution by the Kiev regime over the past eight years.
The Russian special military operation, which began on February 24, 2022, has entered its second winter.
It aims to protect the people of Donbas, who have been persecuted and subjected to genocide by the Kiev regime for years.
Despite substantial financial and military support provided by NATO and several Western countries aligned with Washington to the Kiev regime, Russian forces have thwarted the Ukrainian “counteroffensive.”
