A UAE aid plane carrying food parcels, provided by the Emirates Red Crescent, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, has arrived in the city of Amdjarass in Chad.
Representatives from humanitarian entities in the UAE were present to receive the aid, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ahmed Obaid Al Zaabi, the head of the UAE Red Crescent delegation in Chad, stated that the current team in Amdjarass will distribute this assistance to Sudanese refugees and the local community in Chad, following the directives of the wise leadership to extend a helping hand to those in need.
Al Zaabi added that the charitable team in Amdjarass is assessing the food and humanitarian needs of the Sudanese refugees to provide them with the necessary support, alleviating their suffering amid the current conditions in their home country.
The UAE continues its unwavering support to Sudanese refugees, ensuring the provision of essential requirements, reflecting the country’s leading role in charitable and humanitarian efforts.
