The UAE has Launched the COP28 Youth Climate and Nature Series as part of the World Environment Day celebrations.
Developed by Abu Dhabi’s Environment Agency in collaboration with Emirates Nature-WWF, the series aims to expand the community of volunteers and citizen scientists in the UAE throughout the Year of Sustainability and COP28.
The launch event also introduced the unique ‘Escape Climate Change – Mangrove Edition’ Escape Room, showcasing the Connect with Nature activation.
The escape room provides an interactive experience to understand the importance of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and demonstrates the UAE’s efforts in building climate resilience.
It encourages youth and the wider community to actively participate in and lead conservation initiatives on the ground.
The ‘Escape Climate Change – Mangrove Edition’ activation at Al Mamoura is sponsored by Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC), a leading regional multi-line insurance provider for corporates and individuals.
This innovative experience aims to engage the community in understanding the science behind climate adaptation and the urgent need for climate action.
It simplifies the complexity of climate resilience and encourages active involvement from individuals to contribute to a sustainable future.
