Tunisian Prime Minister Najla Bouden approved a number of bills during the Cabinet’s meeting, including an extradition agreement between Tunisia and Algeria.
Bouden also passed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on social security, concluded on 20 November 2022, between the Republic of Tunisia and Quebec.
Furthermore, a facility agreement between Tunisia and a group of local banks was approved in order to finance the state budget.
The Prime Minister greenlighted the accession of Tunisia to establish the Africa Finance Corporation.
Earlier this month, Antonio Tajani, Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, stated that Europe decided to directly support Tunisia in order to promote stability.
Tajani further predicted the signing of a European aid package for Tunisia, which encompasses strengthening economic and trade relations, sustainable energy, competitiveness, and immigration.
The European Union (EU) has previously announced total financial assistance of 900 million euros for Tunisia.
