The U.S. military base located in the Al-Tanf region, at the tri-border area of Syria, Iraq, and Jordan, was attacked by a suicide drone on Monday evening.
Ground defenses at the base successfully intercepted the suicide drone in the battalion area, situated 4 kilometers away from the base, preventing any damage to the vicinity or inside the base itself.
This assault on the Al-Tanf base occurred hours after an attack on a building associated with the Iranian embassy in Damascus, which resulted in the death of eight commanders from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and Quds Force.
It’s noteworthy that the Al-Tanf base has been targeted approximately 14 times since the military escalation in the Gaza Strip, out of more than 120 attacks on international coalition bases in Syria.
