Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received a phone call from King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, the monarch of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on Monday.
During the call, the two leaders discussed the brotherly relations, various aspects of cooperation, and mutual coordination between their countries to serve their shared interests and aspirations towards development and prosperity.
The President of the UAE inquired about the situation in Jordan, with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed praying for the preservation of the kingdom and its people, wishing them continued blessings of security, safety, and stability.
He reaffirmed the UAE’s support for Jordan in maintaining its security and stability, as reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
King Abdullah II expressed his appreciation for the UAE President’s warm sentiments towards the Kingdom of Jordan and its people, wishing the Emirates continued progress.
Additionally, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and King Abdullah II discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, including the situation in the Middle East and the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
They emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to cease fire in the sector and enhancing the response to the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
Both sides stressed the need for serious international action to prevent the expansion of conflict in the region and to avoid the consequences of new crises, as well as the need for a clear political horizon for a just and comprehensive peace based on the “two-state solution” to ensure stability and security for all.
