Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss issues of further development of bilateral cooperation, the Kremlin’s press service said on Tuesday.
The phone talks saw Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman express his robust support for President Putin concerning the incidents that transpired in Russia on June 24, according to a statement from the Kremlin.
In light of the events in Russia on June 24, “Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman articulated his endorsement for the efforts put forth by the Russian leadership to protect the constitutional order, the lives and security of its citizens,” the Kremlin statement detailed.
During their conversation, the leaders also broached the subject of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia.
On Monday, Putin received multiple calls from Arab leaders and heads of state from several countries allied with Russia, all voicing their unreserved support for the actions taken by the Russian leadership in response to the events of June 24.
