Saudi Arabia has expressed its strongest condemnation and denouncement of the Swedish authorities’ repeated and irresponsible actions, which have allowed extremists to desecrate copies of the Holy Quran. On Thursday, the Kingdom described these acts as a systematic provocation to the feelings of millions of Muslims worldwide.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement that it will summon the Chargé d’Affaires of the Swedish Embassy in Riyadh to deliver a protest memorandum. This memorandum includes the Kingdom’s demand for Swedish authorities to take all immediate and necessary measures to halt these disgraceful acts that contradict all religious teachings and international laws and norms.

The Ministry emphasized the Kingdom’s firm rejection of these acts that foster hatred among religions and hinder dialogue among people. Saudi Arabia insists on respect for the religious sentiments of all, highlighting the importance of maintaining interfaith harmony and dialogue to uphold international peace.

The Kingdom reaffirms its commitment to promoting respect for all religious symbols and texts and urges the Swedish authorities to take immediate action to stop these despicable actions that hurt Muslims’ feelings worldwide.
