The Saudi Arabian Cabinet has given its approval to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the government of the Kingdom (represented by the Ministry of Energy) and the Egyptian government (represented by the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy). The MoU concerns collaboration in the sectors of electricity, renewable energy, and clean hydrogen.

The news was disclosed by the acting Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Wealth, Minister of Information Bandar Bin Ibrahim Al-Kharif, in a statement issued to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The decision was made during a council meeting held on Tuesday at the Peace Palace in Jeddah, under the presidency of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

In addition to this, the Council has granted authorization to several ministers to negotiate with their counterparts from other countries on potential MoUs in various areas. The Council also approved MoUs with a number of other nations.
