Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Wednesday to discuss regional developments and global issues of mutual concern.
The meeting took place at the Royal Court in Riyadh, where the two leaders also reviewed the efforts of both nations in addressing these matters.
Li Qiang, who was welcomed with an official ceremony, joined Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in co-chairing the fourth session of the Saudi-Chinese High-Level Joint Committee.
The session focused on expanding cooperation between Riyadh and Beijing, particularly in political, security, trade, energy, investment, cultural, and technological sectors.
During the talks, both parties signed the minutes of the fourth session of the high-level committee, solidifying their shared commitment to fostering closer ties.
Following the discussions, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman hosted a formal luncheon in honor of the Chinese Premier.
The bilateral talks were preceded by a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and China meeting in Riyadh.
The discussions centered on several key topics, including the ongoing negotiations for a free trade agreement between the GCC and China, as well as exploring ways to enhance collaboration between the two sides.
