Saudi Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the Minister of Culture, announced a new media platform in line with the objectives of “Vision 2030.”

The cultural and artistic community in the Kingdom awaits the launch of a new digital TV channel this coming September, an initiative announced two years prior.

It aims to provide a qualitative shift in showcasing all facets of cultural heritage, aligning with transformations in the creative sector. This move is anticipated to further boost Saudi Arabia’s global presence and cultural influence, which has been notably significant in recent years.

In this regard, the prince signed an agreement with Walid Al Ibrahim, Chairman of the MBC Group to inaugurate and operate a round-the-clock channel that celebrates Saudi culture through diverse and enriching programs.

The initiative seeks to reinforce Saudi Arabia as the regional cultural epicenter, aligning with the cultural aspects of “Vision 2030.”

The platform will honor the richness of Saudi culture, offering a unique and in-depth perspective on arts, literature, heritage, poetry, theatre, cinema, design, fashion, and culinary arts.

With a focus on blending rapid technological advancements, the channel will cater to the ever-evolving needs of both local and global audiences.

Leveraging modern trends and cutting-edge media technology, the initiative aims to foster national talents, transforming creators into cultural assets.
