On Friday, North Korea condemned the military support provided by Washington to Israel in its ongoing conflict with Palestinian factions, describing the United States as a “war dealer” exacerbating the situation in the Middle East by supplying arms.
North Korea aligned itself with the Palestinian factions in the ongoing conflict and accused Washington of being the “gang leader” in the Middle East situation.
It also rejected continuous allegations that the Palestinian factions used North Korean-made weapons, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
The “Rodong Sinmun,” North Korea’s leading newspaper, stated that the United States systematically delivered massive killing equipment to Israel, leading it to invade and kill.
The newspaper further deemed it “shameful” to witness a “war dealer” threatening peace and security by intervening in other countries’ affairs, while portraying itself as promoting democracy on the surface.
The newspaper cited an article on the recent United Nations vote to end the US-led economic embargo on Cuba, stating that Washington resorts to “hostile acts” through economic means in countries it cannot occupy militarily.
The newspaper commented, “It is evident that the ongoing embargo plan against Cuba by the United States is a manifestation of its ambition for domination based on force,” adding that such a move could lead to a “fatal result” of isolating Washington.
These criticisms come at a time when Pyongyang faces worsening economic difficulties, compounded by years of COVID-19-related lockdowns and international sanctions on its nuclear and missile programs.
