The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced that more than 100 children were killed in Lebanon over a span of 11 days, while 690 others were injured in the last six weeks due to the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
The organization shared this information via its platform on X (formerly Twitter), stating that it, alongside its partners, is providing emergency medical supplies and essential services in Lebanon.
Since September 23, Israel has expanded its genocidal campaign, which it has been conducting in Gaza since October 7, 2023, to include all areas of Lebanon, including the capital, Beirut, with unprecedentedly violent and intense airstrikes.
Israel has also launched a ground incursion in southern Lebanon, ignoring international warnings and UN resolutions.
