On Sunday, dozens of settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards under the heavy protection of the Israeli occupation forces. They were escorted on this incursion from the Moroccan Gate to the Chain Gate. Jerusalem’s Islamic Endowments Department confirmed that the settlers performed Talmudic rituals, and rabbis presented explanations about the alleged temple.
From dawn, the occupation forces stationed their elements and special units around Al-Aqsa and its gates to secure the extremists’ intrusions. These forces impose restrictions on worshippers coming from Jerusalem and the occupied interior, meticulously checking their IDs and detaining some at the external gates.
Jerusalemites continue their call for steadfastness and increased attendance at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the face of the dangers it faces. Occasionally, the occupation forces ban the presence of worshipers in the mosque on false pretexts, aiming to empty it of its people to make way for settlers.
It should be noted that daily incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque take place except on Fridays and Saturdays, and during two periods, morning and afternoon, for a total of four and a half hours. Stay informed with the latest news on Al-Aqsa Mosque and ongoing developments in Jerusalem.
