On Monday, the Israeli military reported that approximately 30 rockets were launched from Lebanese territory toward northern Israel, though no injuries were reported.

According to Israel’s Channel 14, explosions were heard in Nahariya and surrounding areas due to the rocket fire from Lebanon. The Israeli Broadcasting Authority also noted that fires broke out in western Galilee as a result of the attacks.

Earlier on Sunday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that two individuals were killed in an Israeli strike on the town of Taybeh in southern Lebanon, with a third person succumbing to injuries sustained “days earlier.” Hezbollah later confirmed that the three were militants from its ranks.

The Ministry also reported that 12 people were injured in an Israeli airstrike on the southern Lebanese town of Maaroub on Sunday.

Hezbollah and Israel have been exchanging fire across the border since the war in Gaza began on October 7.

Tensions have escalated further following the recent assassinations of Ismail Haniyeh, the political bureau chief of Hamas, in Tehran, and senior Hezbollah military commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut’s southern suburbs at the end of last month.

The cross-border escalation has resulted in the deaths of at least 565 people in Lebanon, including at least 116 civilians, according to an AFP tally based on reports from Lebanese authorities and Hezbollah.

Meanwhile, Israeli authorities have reported the deaths of 22 soldiers and at least 26 civilians since the beginning of the conflict, including 12 in the occupied Golan Heights.
