The Israeli forces conducted on Monday a raid on the archaeological site in the town of Sebastia, located in the northern part of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestinian sources in Nablus, the occupation forces entered the archaeological site in the town, and some of their snipers climbed atop tall buildings in the area.

In a separate incident, Israeli Naval ships attacked Palestinian fishermen off the coast of the Gaza Strip.

These attacks on Palestinian fishermen by the Israeli Navy occur regularly, with incidents of shooting, abduction, and confiscation or damage of their boats.

The Gaza Strip, a densely populated coastal area separated from the West Bank, has been under a harsh Israeli blockade for the past sixteen years, restricting air, land, and sea access.

With limited access to fresh water and electricity, the more than two million residents of Gaza suffer from high rates of unemployment and poverty.

The blockade has severely impacted the lives and livelihoods of the people in the region.
