The Israeli military reported on Saturday evening that it had sealed a significant section of Hezbollah’s underground infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
The operation, carried out by the Paratroopers Brigade, Yahalom Unit, and Northern Command Combat Engineering Unit, involved the destruction of 250 meters of tunnels and facilities used by Hezbollah’s Radwan Forces.
These tunnels, discovered during recent cross-border operations, contained command centers, weapons caches, and combat supplies intended for a Hezbollah invasion of Israel. The network also featured living quarters with amenities such as showers and a kitchen.
Though the tunnels did not extend into Israeli territory, the Northern Command Combat Engineering Unit and Yahalom Unit, in coordination with the Defense Ministry, sealed the infrastructure to prevent future use.
