Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has officially invited UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to visit Tehran, as reported by Iranian and Emirati media on Thursday.
The invitation was delivered by Iran’s Ambassador to Abu Dhabi, Reza Ameri, during a meeting with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Khalifa Shaheen Almarar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as stated by Iranian Press TV and Emirates News Agency.
In a notable development in Gulf-Iran relations, Iran appointed an ambassador to the UAE in April, marking the first time since 2016.
This diplomatic progress comes after a significant step towards restoring ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia, facilitated by China in March, following a prolonged period of strain in their relationship.
