Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-abdollahian announced that Iran and Egypt are actively working to develop a roadmap to restore normal diplomatic relations between Tehran and Cairo.
Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Amir-abdollahian expressed optimism about establishing a lasting ceasefire, contingent upon the adherence of Western nations and the United States to current ceasefire efforts.
Amir-abdollahian criticised Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and his supporters for attempting to prolong the conflict, suggesting that a ceasefire could lead to internal issues within the occupied territories.
He also highlighted productive discussions with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, emphasizing their joint efforts in drafting a plan aimed at normalizing relations between the two nations.
