Militants allied with Iran launched attacks on three military bases of the US-led international coalition in the rural areas of Deir al-Zour and Al-Hasakah provinces in Syria.
The assaults involved missile barrages targeting coalition bases in the Conoco gas field and the Al-Omar oil field in the northern and eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour, as well as the Khirab Al-Jeer base near the city of Rmelan in the northeastern countryside of Al-Hasakah.
In response, the international coalition dispatched two cargo planes on Saturday, carrying military equipment, including advanced weapons, from their bases in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to the “Khirab Al-Jeer” base in the northeastern countryside of Al-Hasakah province.
These deployments were part of significant reinforcements sent by the coalition to its bases in eastern and northeastern Syria.
The attacks coincided with the coalition’s sending of a cargo plane from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to the “Khirab Al-Jeer” base on Friday, also loaded with military equipment.
Simultaneously, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stated in an announcement that they had intercepted a rocket launch platform originating from areas controlled by the Syrian army.
The platform was reportedly intended for attacks on the international coalition’s bases in the eastern region of Syria.
